This equates to a crash rate of 7.75 serious crashes per 100 Million Vehicle Kilometres Travelled (100 MVKT) and 1.35 fatal crashes per 100 MVKT. The section of Bussell Highway between Bunbury and Augusta is 140 km long. For the same five year period a total of 105 serious crashes were reported, including 13 fatal crashes. This equates to a crash rate of 9.38 serious crashes per 100 MVKT and 1.16 fatal crashes per 100 MVKT.
