STATE BUDGET 2015–16 — SCHOOLS
627. Hon SUE ELLERY to the Minister for
Education:
I refer to the 2015–16
budget spending changes under ZZZ### ZZZHigh Priority,
Safety and Preventative Maintenance in Schools'' of $15.6 million in
2015–16. Which projects in which schools are included in that
allocation?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question.
The additional $15.6 million has
been allocated for addressing high-priority, safety and preventative
maintenance issues in schools. Key areas of focus to be addressed will include
ceiling remediation, external painting, tree management, resurfacing and paving
works. This additional funding brings total maintenance expenditure for 2015–16
to around $125 million. Specific schools to be included in the program are yet
to be finalised.
