1) The Department of Health (DOH) can only provide information on resignations from nursing positions within the public health system. This would not accurately reflect nurses leaving the profession as they may continue to work in the private sector in Western Australia, or in the public or private sector elsewhere.
It is DOH practice to use head count to quantify individuals recruited / resigning. Head count data therefore is provided in the table below.
