I refer to the AusBiotech 2011 national conference being held in Adelaide between 16 and 19 October. (1) Is the minister aware that 11 Western Australian biotechnology companies are attending the conference to showcase their research and products? (2) Is the minister also aware that most state governments are exhibiting their states’ support of their own biotechnology industries in an attempt to attract investment funding for this important sector? (3) Will the Western Australian government fund an exhibition at the conference to support our local biotechnology industry; and, if not, why not? Hon HELEN MORTON
