I refer to the Woodman Point Waste Water Treatment Plant (WPWWTP), and ask -
(1) Is the WPWWTP currently compliant with the conditions of its
Environmental Protection Act 1986
sewage facility license?
(2) If no to (1), what are the matters subject to the breach of license and what remedial action is required to bring about compliance?
(3) Is the WPWWTP currently compliant with the conditions of its
Environmental Protection Act 1986
liquid waste facility license?
(4) If no to (3), what are the matters subject to the breach of license and what remedial action is required to bring about compliance?
(5) Has the WPWWTP ever breached conditions of its
Environmental Protection Act 1986
sewage treatment facility license or liquid waste facility license?
(6) If yes to (5), what are the matters subject to the breach of license and what remedial action was required to bring about compliance?

(1-2) Yes.
(3-4) Yes.
(5-6) The Woodman Point Wastewater Treatment Plant has breached its licence conditions by exceeding the target for hydrogen sulfide levels and failing to report the exceedance within the specified time; and causing odour emissions from an equipment malfunction.
As both these matters are still under investigation by the Department of Environment and Conservation, it is not appropriate for me to comment further.
