I refer to the incredible statement made by the Minister for Police earlier in question time that she has not referred serious vote-rigging allegations to the police because she does not believe they are true. In view of the minister’s failure to provide a reasonable explanation, does the Premier concede that the minister’s failure to act is simply part of a cover-up to protect her position and standing in the Labor Party and in government? That question is extraordinary. Mr R.F. Johnson: Because you don’t like it. Dr G.I. GALLOP: As far as I am concerned, I have been asked a question about this matter on three occasions now and I have given a very proper answer to the question about how such issues should be dealt with. We are dealing with them exactly as they should be dealt with.
