ALUCOBEST ALUMINIUM COMPOSITE CLADDING
51. Hon KATE DOUST to the Minister for
Commerce:
I refer to the minister's
statement to the house on 20 August 2015 in relation to aluminium cladding on
high-rise buildings in Perth.
(1) What is the
status of the nine buildings with aluminium cladding identified by the City of
Perth audit?
(2) Has the
working group of senior officers completed their report to ministers; and, if
so, will the minister table that report?
(3) Is the
minister aware of the results of the audit of Melbourne CBD buildings reported
in The Australian yesterday; and, if
so, is a more comprehensive audit of Perth buildings planned as a result?

has been completed and is due to be tabled at the meeting of the Building
Ministers' Forum on Friday, 19 February 2016. The release of the report
will be considered at the forum.
(3) I am aware of
the audit report from Victoria, and the Building Commission is considering the
findings of that report relevant to Western Australia.
