1007. Hon ADELE FARINA to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the minister's
answer to question on notice 3205 concerning speech pathologist services.
(1) How many of
the 134 children on the waitlist for speech pathologist services in the south
west region have been waiting —
(a) three to four months; and
(b) more than four months?
(2) How many of
the 60 children on the waitlist at Bunbury community health centre have been
waiting —
(a) three to four months; and
(b) more than four months?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
As the WA Country Health Service has recently implemented a
new patient administration system, it is difficult to extract accurate wait
time figures. In order to provide this information, WACHS staff will need to
manually review and count the client files. I request that the honourable
member place the question on notice.
