I refer the minister to the proposed changes to the Chicken Meat Industry Act contained in the omnibus Acts Amendment and Repeal (Competition Policy) Bill. (1) Did the minister or his department consult with the chicken meat industry regarding the proposed changes; and if so, who was consulted and what was the response? (2) Did the minister or his department consult with the egg industry regarding the proposed changes; and if so, who was consulted and what was the response?
