1078. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the
minister representing the Minister for Housing:
(1) Given that
the Department of Housing has admitted that it knew at the time of purchase in
March 2012 that the intended use of the Churchill Park Guest House in Busselton
was a women's refuge, was an asbestos management plan drawn up for the
building?
(2) If yes to (1), when was the management plan drawn up?
(3) When did Busselton Women's Refuge Inc become the
tenants of the building?
(4) On what date
was the condition assessment report by building condition and compliance
officers ordered?
(5) On what date was the decision taken to move the refuge to
another location?

The Department of Housing advises —
(1)–(2)
The management plan was drawn up after settlement of the property as part of
the planned refurbishment prior to handover to the community housing
organisation, Busselton Women's Refuge Inc, in February 2013.
(3) Busselton Women's Refuge Inc did not occupy this
building.
(4) It was ordered in March 2013.
(5) The decision was made in June 2013.
