(1) What percentage of online betting with the WA TAB is by customers who
make deposits into their betting accounts by: (a) bank credit card; (b) bank debit card; and (c) bank credit and debit cards? (2) What safeguards does the WA TAB have in place to recognise individual
clients’ misuse of bank credit or debit cards when these customers are betting
through their TAB account? (3) If the answer to (2) is none, is there any point at which
the betting activities and frequent deposit activities of a TAB account betting
client can be recognised as potentially causing that person significant
financial harm: (a) If not, why not?

(2) Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) has in place a Responsible Wagering Code of Practice that is available on both the RWWA and TABtouch websites. The code of practice outlines RWWA’s commitments to responsible wagering. RWWA has a number of monitoring mechanisms in place to identify potential issues that may arise which include contacting customers where necessary.
