After census date in Term 1 on 28 March 2014, the full-time equivalent allocation for each school was as follows:
(a) 148.76
(b) 54.41
(c) 16.91
(d) 141.03
(e) 44.29
Under the new student-centred funding model, schools are no longer allocated FTE. Rather, schools receive funding for every student enrolled (per student funding), plus additional funding for Aboriginality, social disadvantage, disability and English as an additional language. Schools in regional and remote areas also receive a locality allocation and all but the largest schools receive an enrolment-linked base. Per student funding, combined with the enrolment linked base and locality allocation if applicable, ensure that schools have sufficient funds to meet student and operational needs.
All industrial and legislative requirements will continue to be met, including class sizes.
Funding is now delivered through a one-line budget, providing principals with flexibility to determine how they use their budgets to deliver the education programs and support that their students need.  It is anticipated that most of a school's one-line budget will be spent on salaries.  This is typically 80-95% of the total one-line budget depending on the size and nature of the school.
While it is not possible to provide information on expected FTE by school, the 2014-15 Budget provided funding for an additional 550 full-time equivalent teachers to be employed in 2015 across the system.
