I refer to the Government's policy to provide free public transport on Sundays, and I ask: (a) how many public transport fines have been issued on Sundays, since February 4 2024 to date; (b) in reference to (a), what is the total value of all fines issued; (c) how many of the fines in (a) have been paid; (d) in reference to (c), what is the total value of fines paid; (e) how many of the fines in (a) are outstanding; (f) in reference to (e), what is the total value of the outstanding fines; (g) how many of the fines in (a) have been cancelled, as of 1 April 2025; and (h) in reference to (g), what is the total value of the cancelled fines?

(a)-(h) 6,668 fines were issued for ticketing-related matters on Sundays between 4 February 2024 and 16 April 2025, representing only 0.143% of passengers on Sundays in this period.
Passengers always require a valid ticket to travel on Transperth services, unless stated otherwise. The condition for free travel on Sundays is the use of a SmartRider.
