I refer to the cancellation of elective surgery at the Bunbury Regional Hospital in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013, and I ask: (a) how many elective surgeries were cancelled in each year; (b) what were the reasons for these cancellations; (c) what was the average waiting time for elective surgery prior to cancellation in each year; (d) what was the average additional waiting time for each cancelled elective surgery in each year; and (e) during each of the years in question, what was the total number of elective surgeries conducted?

Examples where cancellations are not allocated to either category are change of urgency or patient is admitted as emergency for other procedure.
The majority of hospital initiated cancellations at Bunbury Regional Hospital occur due to Emergency procedures taking priority.
