Frontline first has shifted officers from non-operational areas to frontline positions, providing increased numbers that are not reflected in the figures. District Superintendents deploy available resources within their Districts to provide the best possible policing service to meet the varying needs of the community. In addition there are currently 194 FTE (police officers) at the WA Police Academy undergoing training before deployment. The table below shows the Approved Strength (FTE), Actual Employment Level (FTE) and Headcount for Senior Police, Police Officers (Superintendent to Recruit) and Aboriginal Police Liaison Officers as at 31 March 2007.
