I refer to the Premier’s answer to my question without notice No. 732 concerning special legislation to protect the Margaret River area, and ask -
(1) What options is the Government considering for the Margaret River region to ensure an effective planning and land use decision making framework is in place?
(2) When does the Government expect to make a decision on this matter?
(3) Which Minister has responsibility for progressing this matter?
(4) Is it the case that the Government will not be introducing legislation to protect Margaret River in this term of Government?
(5) Is it the case that the Government will not legislate to protect Margaret River from coal mining?
