DEPARTMENT
OF HEALTH — BUDGET
310. Mr R.H. COOK to the Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question. We
have a flexible system. Why does the minister not use that flexibility to fund
the beds at Joondalup Health Campus and resolve the ambulance crisis inflicted
on that campus?

I recall answering this in a previous life. We were given $85
million extra at the midyear review to cater for the activity growth to that
date. We are going through the process of assessing activity growth and within
that we will have the capacity to increase funding for Joondalup to open a
significant number of beds.
