As part of the 2025-26 State Budget, the Cook Labor Government allocated $1.7 billion towards new schools and upgrades to education infrastructure over the next four years, which will help meet the needs of growing communities across Western Australia.
The Department of Education advises:
(1)   Aubin Grove Primary School, Hammond Park Primary School, John Curtin College of the Arts, Karratha Senior High School, Piara Waters Primary School.
(2)   John Curtin College of the Arts and Karratha Senior High School have recently received upgrades or have upgrades nearing completion. A new primary school opened in Hammond Park in 2023 and the Cook Labor Government has committed to opening new primary schools in Anketell and Piara Waters, which will ease enrolment pressures in these growing communities.
