(b) what action does the Minister intend to take in relation to the petition?
a) It has been my strong position that there should be a more democratic process for the election of WAFC commissioners and election of members to the boards of the two WA-based AFL clubs. This has been addressed to a large degree by the recommendations of the Crawford Report which was handed down in August. The Crawford Report has been generally well accepted by the football industry. b) The Football Commission has been made well aware of the government's position in relation to the administration of the game. The WAFC has already acted on implementing aspects of the Crawford Report relating to a more democratic process for the election of commissioners and board members.
