STATE BUDGET — SCITECH FUNDING
530. Hon KATE DOUST to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Science and Innovation:
I refer the minister to the answer to question without notice
381 in relation to Scitech.
(1) What are the four major expenditure areas, and their
monetary value, for Scitech for 2011–12?
(2) What is the estimated expenditure on these areas over
each period of the forward estimates?
(3) Will the
minister release the key performance indicators attached to the Scitech funding
announced in the media statement of 31 May 2012; and, if not, why not?

I thank the member for some notice of this question.
(1)–(2) Scitech is a not-for-profit
organisation established as a company limited by guarantee. Its detailed
financial information is confidential unless the board of directors authorises
its release.
(3) No. The Scitech funding agreement,
including the key performance indicators, for the period 2013–14 to
2017–18 is still being developed by the Department of Commerce with
Scitech.
