(6) All individuals supported were from situations where the panel determined from the combination of factors listed previously that the person was among those most in need of support within the funds available. Additionally there were four children turning 18 who were in the care of the Department for Community Development and required ongoing support in their adult life. (7) Individuals are offered appropriate vacancies that occur within existing services. All individuals are requested to continue to liaise with their Local Area Co-ordinator or service provider for ongoing support and assistance to access existing funded and community based supports such as: Service based respite, Home and Community Care funding packages, Commonwealth carer support services, Commonwealth funded emergency respite services, and support through local government authorities.
