AGRICULTURE —
COMMITTEES AND GROWER GROUPS
789. Hon JIM CHOWN to the Minister for Regional Development:
(1) Can the
minister please list by name and purpose all committees involved in agriculture
that report to or consult with the Department of Primary Industries and
Regional Development?
(2) Can the minister list by name all grower groups
and representative agricultural entities in Western Australia?
(3) Can the
minister provide a breakdown in dollar values of all levies listed individually
with the associated bodies that collect said levies on behalf of broadacre
agriculture on a state and national basis?

Member, after a very good question
yesterday, this is totally absurd.
Hon Jim Chown interjected.
The PRESIDENT : It gets
really difficult when somebody has been asked a question and then other people
yell over that person trying to respond. Again, I will say that it is difficult
for Hansard, me and other members to hear the response. I would like to hear
what the minister has to say and members might want to listen, too.
Hon ALANNAH MacTIERNAN :
Obviously, yesterday was a departure from the norm.
Given the level of detail
requested, the answer cannot be provided in the time frame given. It is
requested that the member put the question on notice.
