JAMES LARSSON AND JAKE SMITH — RESIGNATION
PAYOUTS
478. Mr R.H. COOK to the Deputy Premier:
Before I ask this question, may I please acknowledge former
member of the Legislative Assembly Tony McRae and the delegation he is leading
today of representatives from East Timor.
I refer to the payments made to Mr James Larsson and Mr Jake
Smith.
(1) Did the relocation payment include the cleaning of Mr
Larsson's apartment?
(2) Did the payments include business-class flights back to
Queensland?
(3) If this
information is not immediately to hand, will the Deputy Premier please commit
to providing this information by the close of business today?

(1)–(3) The
answer is no; I will not be providing anything. The member quite clearly knows
that this is the responsibility of —
Mr M. McGowan : You're
the Acting Premier.
Dr K.D. HAMES : It
does not matter if I am the Acting Premier; it does not mean that I need to be
across issues like this. It has been debated already in the house. The member
has had his opportunity. We gave him his 20 minutes to debate it. If he wants
to raise further issues in that, then do it. If he wants to ask a question like
that, give notice.
