(1) There has been no drop in standards. The subject of the output measures has changed. (2) At the time of preparing the estimates, funding agreements with the Australian Sports Commission were not in place. However, in May 2000 agreements have been reached with the Australian Sports Commission that will increase the funding to the Ministry by $601 791 for participation. (3) No program will be cut. This additional funding will allow the Indigenous Sport Program and the Coaching and Officiating Program to be maintained at their current level and the continuance of the Active Australia Program.
