NIB
STADIUM — ALLIA VENUE MANAGEMENT
217. Ms R. SAFFIOTI to the
Minister for Sport and Recreation:
I have a supplementary question. I again ask: why is the
government paying Allia out over $8 million when it chose not to continue
undertaking the contract it signed with the government?

AnswerView source ↗

We had an agreement with it. We got expert people in, as I
said this morning —
Dr A.D. Buti interjected.
The SPEAKER :
Member for Armadale, I call you to order for the first time.
Mr T.K. WALDRON :
The payout figure was negotiated with two experts—RSM Bird Cameron—guiding
the state. That process took place. I think the member tends to overlook that,
as advised by the Premier this morning, the Auditor General replied and said
that he had reviewed —
Several members interjected.
Mr T.K. WALDRON :
Yes, it did. The advice I received confirms that the letter from the Auditor
General covers the termination clause.
