(a) Implementation of the Perth Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP) is in progress. The Perth AQMP accommodates the intent of the 1998 Government’s Response to the Select Committee. It is a 30 year plan that outlines action aimed at improving Perth’s air quality. The Plan’s Implementation Strategy details the 12 initiatives (43 programs, 86 sub-programs) that have been adopted. To date, 20 sub-programs have commenced, 29 sub-programs are ongoing, and 36 are yet to commence with one requiring no further action.
