Western Power Corporation (WPC) used to publish its Average Unit Cost in cents per kilowatt hours (¢/kWh) which when last published by WPC in ‘Annual Report and Environmental Review 2000’ page 30 was 9¢/kWh -

2) The Average Unit Cost has decreased from 10.6c/kWh in 1999-2000 to 10.5c/kWh in 2001-2002. The methodology used in calculating Average Unit Cost has changed from that used in 1999-2000. Interest costs are now included in total expenditure when determining Average Unit Cost. 3) The measure will continue to be reported in future annual reports.
