The parliamentary secretary gave a number of statements to the House under Standing Order No 138(d) in which he said that parliamentary questions would be answered as soon as possible. (1) Did the parliamentary secretary merely repeat an answer that had been given to him, or did he take some measures to ensure that the statements he made to this House were honest, true and appropriate? (2) Do any of those questions remain outstanding? (3) What is he doing to ensure the questions are answered as soon as possible? Hon G.T. GIFFARD

(1)-(3) I do not specifically recall the questions about which the member is asking.  The statement to which the member has referred and which I made last week was in relation to questions that are prepared by the minister’s office.
