thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The following
response has been provided by the Minister for Prevention of Family and
Domestic Violence.
The Department of
Communities advises the following.
(1)–(3) Broome hub services have been
operating since November 2024 as work progressed to secure a suitable property.
This included service delivery, incorporating soft entry and primary prevention
programs. The hub service is designed to provide a range of specialist supports
for people experiencing family and domestic violence, including advocacy,
counselling, legal assistance and support for children. The hub is operated by Mens
Outreach Service Aboriginal Corporation (MOSAC), operating as Family Outreach
Service. Thirteen people are employed at the service. The annual operating
funding is $3.6 million including GST, $302,600 per annum is provided for
leasing costs, and $156,200 including GST was provided for transition and startup
costs.
