FREMANTLE PORTS OPTIMUM PLANNING GROUP — CONTAINER FACILITIES REPORT
Some notice has been given of the question. I refer to the Fremantle Ports Optimum Planning Group, which was originally planned to report in July 2009. (1) What has been the delay in the completion of this report? (2) What now is the expected timetable for the release of the report? (3) Will the minister acknowledge that the government now has no intention of delivering new container facilities to the Fremantle outer harbour by 2015? Hon SIMON O’BRIEN

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this further question. (1) The breadth of work included in the project has been significant, and the group requested an extension, which I have granted until further notice. (2) The release date is to be determined. (3) This government has every intention of continuing to meet the requirements of the ever-growing freight task in Western Australia.
