I have it listed that the Leader of the House is representing the Minister for Tourism. Is there any advance on that? The PRESIDENT : Order! I am sure that if the Leader of the Opposition asks the question, someone will answer it. Hon NORMAN MOORE : I refer the minister to his reply to question without notice 9 given on 30 March. (1) Does the minister acknowledge that national and international media coverage is a key economic factor in supporting international events such as Rally Australia; and, if not, what is the minister’s view of why governments support such events? (2) Does the minister agree that his failure to include the value of such media exposure in his analysis means that the basis for his decision is fundamentally flawed; and, if not, why not? (3) Will the minister explain his failure to discuss the matter with rally organisers with a view to at least giving them the opportunity of seeking alternative arrangements to keep the rally in Western Australia? (4) Will the minister explain his apparent determination to end the rally in Western Australia, as suggested by his failure to discuss options with organisers and his absolute refusal to seek additional funding from the Treasurer despite the massive revenue growth enjoyed by this government? Hon KIM CHANCE

I thank the Leader of the Opposition for providing some notice of the question. I believe there is an answer around somewhere, because I think I have seen the answer, but it has not made its way into my file. If it arrives in the next few moments, I will provide the answer.
