MOORA RESIDENTIAL COLLEGE
— HON DARREN WEST'S COMMENTS
616. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I refer to comments made last week
in the Legislative Council by Hon Darren West that he does not agree with
spending $8.7 million on Moora Residential College, saying the funds ''could
have been spent better elsewhere.'' Does the Premier agree with Mr West's
comments?

I am unaware of the comments, and
when the member claims that somebody said something, I always find that there
might be issues with the accuracy of what he claimed. I always find there might
be slight issues with the accuracy of what he claimed. It is true that this
government secured, with the cooperation of the federal government, for the
federal government to pay for an upgrade to Moora college. I thought that was a
good outcome and another example of this government working cooperatively with
the federal government.
