INDUSTRY
AND TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT ACT 1998 — REVIEW
1049. Hon KATE DOUST to the Minister for Commerce:
I refer to the review into the Industry and Technology
Development Act 1998.
(1) Has the preliminary draft report been finalised?
(2) If yes to (1), when will the minister table the report?
(3) If no to (1) —
(a) why not; and
(b) why has it taken so long to
finalise the review?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1)–(3)
I have considered the preliminary draft report of the review, but it does not
fully address the terms of reference. I have asked the Department of Commerce
to undertake consultation with key stakeholders groups to ascertain if the
objects of the Industry and Technology Development Act 1998 remain relevant.
