I refer to the Office of the Inspector of Custodial Services (OICS) Report into an Announced Inspection of the West Kimberley Regional Prison (2017), noting that Recommendation 15 was to fund West Kimberley Regional Prison to undertake funeral and other compassionate leave escorts, and ask: (a) does the Minister accept this recommendation: (i) if not, why not; (b) when will this recommendation be implemented; (c) what was the 2016-17 and 2017-18 budget for funeral and compassionate leave escorts; and (d) will the Department be investigating local transport contractor options base out of Derby to facilitate the implementation of this recommendation and if so: (i) how much money will be set aside to fund this recommendation in the coming financial year?
