SCHOOL CHAPLAINCY PROGRAM
1495. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Education:
I refer to the answer provided to
question without notice 1170 asked on 15 October 2024 regarding the grant agreement between the Department of Education and
YouthCARE for the delivery of the school principal chaplaincy program,
which advised the agreement had not been extended or renewed beyond 31 December
2024.
(1) Can the
minister confirm whether this decision has been reversed?
(2) If yes to
(1), when will the new agreement commence and expire; and how much funding has
been allocated for the delivery of the program under the new agreement?

some notice of the question.
(1) Yes.
(2) The
department is in negotiations with YouthCARE and a commitment has been made to
maintain an agreed level of service in the interim while the procurement of
future services is completed.
