733. Hon ADELE FARINA to the
minister representing the Minister for Local Government:
I refer to the federal government's funding for local
government reform.
(1) Did the
Department for Local Government and Communities receive moneys from the federal
government's local government reform fund for the integrated strategic
planning, financial management and asset management in local government projects?
(2) Were any
of these funds granted or in some other way distributed to individual local
government authorities?
(3) If yes to (2), were recipients of the funds required to —
(a) submit an
application or enter into a funding agreement with the department to receive
the funds; or
(b) provide an acquittal or report
on the expenditure of the funds?
(4) If yes to (3), was the application and/or acquittal or
expenditure report required to specify —
(a) details of the project on
which the funds were expended;
(b) quotations of the cost of
goods and services purchased with the funds; or
(c) details of the suppliers of
goods and services purchased with the funds?
