I thank the member
for some notice of the question. The following has been provided by the
Minister for Corrective Services.
(1)–(3) The minister is aware of obligations
under the Financial Management Act 2006.
I have additional information here that I seek to
have incorporated into Hansard as it is in
tabular form.
Leave granted for
the following material to be incorporated.
As confirmed in
the Legislative Assembly on 12 March 2026, the following recommendations have
been enacted:
WA Police are
developing a new system of prioritisation based on a risk assessment when a
Post Sentence Supervision Order (PSSO) Contravention of Breach Action
document is received with supporting evidence from Adult Community
Corrections (ACC).
ACC updated
the PSSO Contravention of Breach Action document with a flag to clearly
identify the matter is a PSSO breach and is urgent.
ACC now
includes the State Operations Command Centre (SOCC) when notifying of a
breach of a PSSO that is considered imminent risk, followed up with a
telephone call to SOCC to bring the matter to its attention.
ACC staff
have been informed about the need to apply imminent risk assessment to PSSO
breaches.
Amendments to
the breach notification documentation to include specifics to assist WA
Police in locating PSSO offenders.
