As a result, the Principal Registrar of the District Court requested amendments to the District Court Regulations to regulate the process by which an application under regulation 6 is to be made. This process allows applicants to clearly indicate their application type and enables the Court to obtain the relevant grounds for considering each fee deferral and/or reduction application on one prescribed form. Further amendments were requested by the District Court to regulation 9(8) and 9(9) to clarify the application of the provisions regarding hearing fees and align the language and operation with the practice of the Court.
