AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1) Late in the
afternoon on Thursday, 28 January 2016 the Minister for Planning's
office was contacted by telephone by the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority
to advise water quality issues had been raised by the Department of Health and
action was being taken based on expert advice.
(2) On Thursday
afternoon the Department of the Premier and Cabinet was advised as it had an
oversight role in the Elizabeth Quay opening activities from a protocol
perspective.
(3) The member should refer to the
Premier's office.
(4) The Minister
for Planning was not made aware of the 13 compliance issues before the park
opened. The Minister for Planning cannot respond for the Premier.
