(5)-(7) The Government's tourism priorities are my priorities. The primary priority is the promotion of Western Australia as a desirable holiday destination with the objective being to attract increased visitation and expenditure. The Government's long term broad strategies include: Marketing of Western Australia in core and emerging markets. Developing e-marketing opportunities. Increasing aviation access, services and capacity into, and around, Western Australia. Developing tourism infrastructure that meets visitor demand. Developing Indigenous tourism experiences. Developing, attracting and supporting major events that are capable of generating significant economic benefit for the State. Ensuring the provision of consistent and quality destination and product information and booking facilities. Accelerating the growth of convention, exhibition and incentive travel business. Attracting new investment in tourism product. Building the capacity of existing tourism operators to offer a diverse high quality product. (8) The Member's question is far too general. To date, the Member has arranged, via my office, two briefing sessions with Tourism Western Australia's Chief Executive Officer (Tuesday 14 March and Thursday 13 April, 2006). The Member has cancelled both of these sessions. I offer the Member another opportunity to arrange a briefing with the tourism agency's Chief Executive Officer so that she can explore these questions in the briefing.
