I refer to the release of information on 29 January 2026 by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) in response to the Freedom of Information Application 20250036 which requested information on gifts declared on the 2024-25 DPC Gift Register and ask: (a) The Members Financial Interests Returns for 2024-25 tabled on 14 October 2025 confirm that AFL matches were attended by eight Ministers and one Parl Sec, Cricket matches were attended by six Ministers, Rugby matches were attended by six Ministers, Soccer matches were attended by four Ministers and one Parl Sec, NBL matches were attended by four Ministers, Concerts were attended by three Ministers and two Parl Secs and there were a number of business and association events attended by various Ministers, but for this same period the DPC gift register does not identify any of these or similar events being attended by Ministerial office or departmental staff, can the Minister therefore confirm categorically that no staff in Ministerial offices or the Department attending such events in 2024-25 at the invitation of another part; (b) If not, why not; and (c) Is it possible that Ministerial office staff and or Departmental staff did attend such events: (i) If so, why have these not been declared as gifts as they are by Members of Parliament in the Annual Financial Returns?
