1-3 Debtor's information collected from secondary schools does not include outstanding voluntary fees as there is no obligation on the parent/guardian to pay. Schools receive central funding to enable them to deliver educational programs across the eight learning areas. Voluntary contributions assist schools to provide additional curricular activities. Government assistance is provided through the $100 Government Secondary Subsidy and Secondary Assistance Scheme towards contributions in Years 8-10 and charges in Years 11 and 12.
