I refer to page 664 of budget paper No
2, volume 2, relating to the Water Corporation, and the statement—
A further $4 million will also be
spent in augmenting water source capacity for the Albany Lower Great Southern
Town Water Scheme required to meet the long-term demand.
(1) Can the
minister give more detail on what this water source capacity will be, where it
will be located, and what towns it will service?
(2) What is the
cost of water testing in the great southern for the years 2014–15, 2015–16
and 2016–17?
(3) What are the
names of the laboratories that have carried out water testing in the great
southern for the years 2014–15 and 2015–16?
(4) What are the
names of the laboratories that are contracted to carry out water testing in the
Great Southern in 2016–17?

undertaken across the three existing bore fields in the Albany area to replace
and upgrade bores that service towns, including Albany, Mt Barker and Kendenup.
(2) Expenditure
on all water quality testing services in the Water Corporation's great
southern operating region is: 2014–15 actual, $1 336 956; 2015–16
actual, $1 268 751; and 2016–17 estimate, $1 269 000.

and 2015–16 Analytical Reference Laboratory WA, PathWest, SGS
Australia, Dalcon Environmental and Western Radiation Services were contracted
to undertake water quality testing across the state:
