(1) A total of 44 electronic school zone signs and 20 variable speed zones signs were installed during 2009.
(a) School Zone sites (four signs at each location) -
Bullsbrook Primary / District High School.
Comet Bay College.
Currumbine Primary School.
Jandakot Primary School.
Mirrabooka Primary / Senior High School.
Morley Primary School.
Peter Carnely Anglican Community School.
Pickering Brook Primary School.
Ravensthorpe District High School.
Secret Harbour Primary School.
Shenton College.
Variable Speed Zone sites -
Beaufort Street, Mt Lawley (16 signs).
Great Northern Highway, Upper Swan (4 signs).
(2) It is expected electronic school zone signs will be installed at a further 10 school zone sites (i.e. 40 signs) during 2010 but this will be subject to confirmation of funding in the 2010-11 State Budget.
(a) A preliminary list of some 50 priority sites has been developed but a decision on sites to be treated in 2010 will be finalised once funding has been confirmed.
(3) Each sign costs approximately $10 000 (i.e. $40 000 per school zone).
