MINERAL RESOURCES LTD —
YILGARN CLOSURE
806. Hon NEIL THOMSON to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Environment:
I refer to Mineral Resources'
statement to the Australian Securities Exchange regarding the closure of its
Yilgarn operations. I note that in its statement Mineral Resources indicated
that it would not expand its operations because of the money and time it would
take to ramp up more nearby operations.
(1) Did Mineral
Resources have any applications for new resource developments or the expansion
of existing mines or resource projects under the Environmental Protection Act?
(2) If yes to (1), what were these
applications?
(3) If yes to (1), when were they
lodged?
