the Leader of the House representing the
Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation:
I refer to community concerns about Synergy's Scott River wind
farm.
(1) Can the minister confirm the BHP Beenup
mineral sands mining operation was in part closed due to acid sulphate soil
disturbance causing significant environmental damage to the Scott and Blackwood
Rivers?
(2) Will Synergy be held responsible for any
environmental damage caused by drilling activities to install the proposed
Scott River wind farm?
(3) Can the minister confirm changes to the
original scope of the Scott River wind farm proposal has increased the number
of turbines to be installed, as well as the size of turbines that are to be
installed?
(4) If yes to (3), what was the original height
and number of wind turbines that were proposed and what is currently being
proposed?
