ALBANY RING-ROAD —
TRAFFIC COUNTS
491. Hon DIANE EVERS to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
My question is about the proposed
Albany ring-road.
(1) Does the
government know the projected average weekday traffic count for vehicles on the
proposed section between South Coast Highway and Lower Denmark Road in total
and for freight haulage vehicles; and, if so, what are the figures?
(2) Does the government know the most recent traffic
count for the existing section of Hanrahan Road closest to the proposed Albany
ring-road in total and for freight haulage vehicles; and, if so, what are the
figures?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Based on modelling to 2031, the total number of
vehicles is 4 019 and for freight haulage vehicles, it is 1 206.
(2) The 2017–18 average annual daily traffic
on Hanrahan Road north of Frenchman Bay Road is 7 106 vehicles a day,
including 12.6 per cent heavy vehicles.
