I ask the minister by way of supplementary question whether he will implement the full recommendations of the energy safety directorate? Mr E.S. RIPPER

AnswerView source ↗

I will ensure that Western Power meets its legal obligations. I will ensure that the recommendations of the director are taken into account as Western Power plans for the spending of $950 million over four years. If the National Party wants improvements to the network, it should vote for electricity reform, because that will release capital for spending on the network. If the National Party wants more than $950 million spent on the network, it should come to its senses and vote for electricity reform.
