TEACHERS —
VOLUNTARY SEVERANCE
220. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
Minister for Education:
I refer to the impact of changes to the Public Sector
Management Act on the employment of teachers in public schools. How many
teachers have been advised that, as a result of the Public Sector Management
(Redeployment and Redundancy) Regulations 2014, which come into effect from 1
May 2015, unless they accept an offer of voluntary severance, they will have a
period of six months to accept redeployment or relocation or face involuntary
termination?
