I refer to the media statement on 10 May 2018, 'Additional alcohol and drug rehab services in the South-West in 2019' which announced the State Budget allocated $9.3 million over the next four years to operate 33 additional treatment beds across the South West Region, and I ask: (a) what is the current status of the 33 additional treatment beds in the South West Region; (b) How much of the allocated $9.3 million has been spent to date, and on what; (c) What are the names of the alcohol and other drug treatment service providers that will provide the additional 33 treatment beds; (d) Of the service providers listed in (c), how many additional beds will each service provider add, and where are they located; and (e) When will the 33 additional treatment beds be operational?

I am advised that: (a) An open Tender process has been utilised to procure these services. The evaluation process for the Tender is currently underway, it is anticipated that the outcome of the Tender process will be finalised in October 2018. (b) As the Tender process has not yet been completed, no funding has been spent to date. (c) The Tender process has not yet been completed. (d) Not applicable. (e) It is anticipated that services will be operational from January 2019 with the possibility to negotiate a commencement date of up to 30 June 2019 if required for the fit out of facilities.
